Anas Ibn Malik (Radi Allahu Anhu) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Indeed the best of remedies you have is cupping (hijama).” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 5371)
Jabir bin ‘Abdullah ((Radi Allahu Anhu) narrated that he paid Al-Muqanna a visit during his illness and said, “I will not leave till he gets cupped, for I heard Allah’s Messenger ﷺ saying, “There is healing in cupping.” (Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 7, Book 71, Number 600)

What I offer:

Moving Cupping
Moving Cupping is a great way to stimulate blood circulation. It helps loosen stiff muscles and relieve pain. It is also very therapeutic and quite relaxing.
During a moving cupping session, oil is applied liberally to the skin and a cup is applied to the skin using a light suction and moved in long or circular motions, while keeping the vacuum intact. The light suction uses negative pressure and works in the opposite way to massage therapy, because during massage a great deal of pressure is applied to the surface of the skin.
Dry/Fixed Cupping
Is sometimes referred to as Fixed Cupping, is a method whereby a vacuum is created between the cups and the skin using a suction pump. The cups are applied and left on the skin for the required amount of time needed for best benefit.
Hijama (or wet cupping)
Hijama is an amazing way to cleanse the body of stagnant blood and other toxins. Small “scratches” are made on the skin using a small surgical blade, cups are then placed on top of the scratched area and suction is applied. The suction draws out the stagnant blood and toxins, giving the body much needed cleansing.

Moving cupping, dry/fixed cupping, and hijama cupping are all utilized during my hijama sessions. The moving cupping, which is the first step in the process, begins to stimulate circulation and to help with any pain that may be occurring. Dry/fixed cupping further stimulates circulation in which suction applied pulls the skin and underlying tissues upward, causing blood vessels to localize. The congestion of the blood vessels stimulates the flow of blood allowing for the release of toxins and blockages. The cups are typically left in place for a few minutes, prior to then advancing to the hijama treatment, which is the most beneficial of all with the blessing and healing of Allah As-Shafi, The Healer.
